Meditation invites us all to arrive as we are and leave a little bit more aware of who we want to be.
About ruth
Let's start with who I am in professional terms!
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University in 2007 and my Masters of Social Work from Yeshiva University in 2009. I spent many years working with families experiencing upheaval before moving to private therapy with a specialization in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Through my work in private practice I witnessed how “traditional” therapy is very reactive. I found myself interested in building a practice that is more proactive. This interest took me on a long journey that included expanding my knowledge of what wellness is, what it means to live life authentically and with joy and even what it means to be a social worker/therapist.
The journey has come to fruition with Grounding with Ruth. A place to share with women the power of meditation and how it can help us build a foundation that we take with us every day. It is a gathering space for women to connect, learn and grow - through workshops and women’s circles.
When I am not wearing my social work hat, you can find me walking dogs with my husband. Through my journey, I learned that I can have more than one passion and celebrating both makes me feel I am living my best life! I also love to spend time reading, watching British police shows and being out in nature.
I look forward to helping you find yourself and live from a place of authenticity.
Grounding with Ruth is a community where women can come together to learn and grow. Ruth’s offerings are designed to empower and uplift, from engaging workshops exploring mental health topics to women’s circles that provide a safe space for sharing and receiving support.
