A FREE LIVE MASTERCLASS WITH RUTH HIRSHBERG

When You Don’t Know What You’re Supposed to Do Anymore

For women who are tired of trying to do everything right - and still feel like they’re getting it wrong.

Tuesday, September 29, 2026 · 7:00 p.m. ET · Live online

Maybe you’ve been trying really hard to get it right.

You’ve read the advice. Set better boundaries. Make time for yourself. Rest more. Move your body. Meditate. Ask for help.

And somehow, even the things that are supposed to help can start to feel like more things you should be doing.

More ways to fall behind.

More decisions to get right.

More evidence that everyone else seems to have figured this out.

What if you didn’t need another answer from someone else?

Maybe the answer isn’t more advice.

Most of us have spent years learning to look outside ourselves for the right answer.

What should I do?
What’s the right choice?
What will make everyone else okay?
What am I
supposed to want?

And when you’re overwhelmed, exhausted or pulled in ten different directions, hearing your own answer can feel almost impossible.

This masterclass is an opportunity to try something different.

Not to give you another list of things to do. Not to tell you what your answer should be.

To make a little room to hear yourself.

What we’ll do together

This isn’t a masterclass where I’m going to spend 75 minutes giving you more information to remember or another system to follow.

We’re going to slow things down enough to notice what actually happens when you try to answer a question for yourself.

You’ll have space to:

Settle — Begin with a simple grounding practice so you can arrive, rather than rushing straight in from whatever came before.

Listen — Spend time with a question that matters to you, and notice what comes up before all the shoulds, expectations and second-guessing take over.

Notice — Get curious about what makes it hard to trust what you hear: guilt, fear, other people’s expectations, old beliefs, or the need to get it “right.”

Experience — Try making a little more room for your own answer without immediately arguing with it, fixing it or asking someone else what they think.

You don’t need to come knowing your answer. That’s rather the point.

This Masterclass Is For You If...

  • You’re tired of constantly wondering whether you’re making the right choice.

  • You ask other people what they think—even when some part of you already knows what you want.

  • You say yes and then wish you’d said no, or say no and immediately feel guilty about it.

  • You’re carrying so many expectations, opinions and responsibilities that you’re not even sure which thoughts are actually yours anymore.

  • You keep trying to do the “right” things to feel better, and somehow they’ve become more things you can fail at.

  • You don’t necessarily need someone to tell you what to do. You’d just really like to be able to hear yourself again.

There will be a replay.

And I still really want you there live.

I know how this goes. You register for something with every intention of watching the replay later.

And then later becomes tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes next week. And eventually the email disappears somewhere in your inbox.

But there’s another reason I hope you’ll join me live.

This isn’t just something to watch. There will be time to reflect, to notice what comes up, to hear from other women and, if you want to, to share what’s happening for you. What happens in the room becomes part of the experience.

The replay will give you the masterclass. Being there live lets you be part of it.

Hi, I'm Ruth.

I’m Ruth Hirshberg, a Registered Social Worker, meditation teacher and the woman behind Grounding with Ruth.

I spent years doing what so many women do: trying to get it right. Being responsible. Being capable. Taking care of what needed taking care of. Looking outside myself for the rules and then working very hard to follow them.

Eventually, I had to learn something different.

My work now is about helping women get underneath all the noise — the expectations, the shoulds, the old beliefs, the fear of disappointing people — and reconnect with themselves.

I’m not interested in becoming another person who tells you what you should do.

I’d rather help you get quiet enough to hear what you already know.
